Jean Valjean is a released convict. As he makes his way to his parole officer in Dijon, he is found sleeping on a park bench with no other place for shelter or rest. He is directed to the Bishop’s house where he receives a surprising invitation. His encounter with the Bishop becomes a turning point in his life. Look for how the Bishop demonstrates the Operational Aspects of Care.

In the following scene, one of the sailors gets tossed into the sea during a storm. The rigging he is clinging to, and his only lifeline, is becoming a sea anchor to the ship, threatening to capsize it. The Captain faces a terrible dilemma...save the individual or save the ship with its crew. He cannot do both. How does this effect the Operational Aspects of Know, Connect, Provide, and Protect?
